We are excited to announce that BusSAFE will be furthering its reach in 2025. Members of Bus Associations from all Australian states will now be able to access our comprehensive bus safety program to deliver in your school networks.

What are the benefits?
Educating our youngest road users about bus safety has wide-reaching benefits.

Foremost is student and driver safety. Beyond the immediate advantages of increased safety awareness, promoting a lifelong safety mindset is an investment in passenger transport users of the future.

Our sessions teach safe bus stop and on-board behaviours, seatbelt and headphone use, crossing the road around buses and what to do in an emergency. Learn more here.

BusSAFE also carries benefits for bus operators. Peter Bowman, State Manager for BusBiz in SA reports that having one of his drivers take on a BusSAFE presenter role has been “a win for us as a company for two reasons. Firstly, our driver was able to share his enhanced knowledge with other drivers in our team, which we have seen as really valuable. Secondly, our driver has been able to present a positive image of our company, in particular in the schools where we are the contracted provider. A great outcome all round.”

Becoming a BusSAFE presenter will provide your staff with new skills whilst promoting your organisation’s commitment to safety.

How does it work?
BusSAFE will provide all materials and training to prepare the staff you select to deliver sessions in the schools you service. It’s a great opportunity for those in administration roles and drivers alike. All BusSAFE seek in return is for session details and feedback to be recorded via a central system to measure the impact of the program.
