Volvo Bus Australia and Irizar Asia Pacific join our growing network of partners, alongside transportme, whose support was announced earlier this year. Together, we are working towards a common goal: enabling safer, smarter student journeys while helping foster new generations of confident and responsible passengers.

BusSAFE provides bus operators with materials, training and support to deliver safety education sessions in the schools that they service. At a BusSAFE session, students from Foundation to Year 9 learn strategies for staying alert at the bus stop, gain an understanding of bus blind spots and learn about safe seatbelt, headphone and phone use.
Recent independent assessment of BusSAFE trials by the University of Sydney found that the education program makes a meaningful impact on student safety.
BusSAFE is led by BusSA in partnership with the Bus Australia Network. The use and delivery of BusSAFE in each state is guided by each state association.
